FAQS

Can my child switch between the Saturday On Track and the Off Track sessions?
Children booked on the On Track Scheme can opt at sign in to go out with the Off Track runners. Unfortunately Off Track runners cannot opt to swop on to the On Track session.
When can my child join Blackheath & Bromley Harriers proper?
The route to Blackheath and Bromley Harriers is through the BB Academy.

The minimum age for the BB Academy is 11 years old.

We will when appropriate recommend joining the BB Academy

In the BB Academy athletes specialise in an event, where as in the Bees their training covers all events.

The BB Academy will offer places in to Blackheath and Bromley Harriers, when they feel the athlete is at a suitable level to join a training group.

If I miss a session can I get a refund?
Unfortunately no. Whether your child is present or not we still incur the same costs.
Doesn’t it get too dark in the winter?
There are floodlights all around the athletics track that light up the facility as if it is a summer evening. The car park is also lit up.
As a parent or carer do I need to stay during the session?
You do not need to stay. However if you are a parent of a Mini Bee we do recommend that you stay for the duration.

If you do not stay please ensure you are back to collect your child by the time the sessions ends. Also please ensure you come back into the athletics centre fenced area to collect your child at the end, we will not allow any unaccompanied child out into the car park even if they can see you!
